Our local flagstone experts used quality, locally sourced flagstone to create a beautiful, yet durable surface that complements the natural surroundings. A well-built fire pit, surrounded by native boulders, are used as seating but also add to the rustic look of the landscape. It had a lot of elements like how the unique site topography presented drainage issues and uneven ground that made it super challenging. Our landscape architects solved this by planning a detailed grading plan that accounted for these land ownership and access concerns while simultaneously creating level filled-tiered garden beds for the property. We prevent water from moving towards the home using erosion control fabrics, and we create a drainage solution so that the water will flow away from the home, leaving the landscape beautiful yet safe. We also included a wide variety of native plants that make this outdoor space sing in Colorado. Brightly-hued wildflowers to hardy shrubs, all chosen for their little maintenance needs and local wildlife appeal. And the end result is a beautiful, seasonal garden that will look stunning and work ecologically, all year round.
