SOUVIGNIER 2020 SOUVIGNIER 2020 displayed in the garden of Glacier View Landscape & Design, Inc. All pictures posted by Glacier View Landscape & Design, Inc. Located in the foothills outside of Boulder, this residential landscape was designed and constructed for an extraordinarily boring back yard that needed made magical. Including a combination of hardscaping and softscaping, the consisted of a custom-cut bluestone patio made of locally-sourced material that supplies a functional and visually attractive surface for outdoor events. We planted a variety of native plants around the patio to provide the surrounding ecosystem with the resources it needs to sustainably flourish with minimal maintenance. The property was very uneven and this was one of the main challenges we had to overcome. Our talented team navigated through this by building tiered garden beds, which created layers and allowed for the delineation of both planting and lounging areas. On this , we implemented high level materials such as decorative gravel pathways, and reclaimed wood for raised garden beds, balancing itself with the natural surroundings and offering sustainable choices. Arguably the best part of the SOUVIGNIER 2020 is the water feature which provides a little oasis where one could meditate. For this feature, we created a mixture of natural stones and added the soft sound of a gentle waterfall into a small pond that attracts loads of local wildlife and looks beautiful. In the end, we created a stunning outdoor oasis that our client could have only dreamed of. They brought the ethos of balancing function with ecology and with art, and the homeowners delighted in the new oasis they could now share with family and friends. We love the landscapes we create to make lives better for people who live in them and SOUVIGNIER 2020 is a reflection of that here at Glacier View Landscape & Design, Inc.
