Kendall WOW "Before and After" by The Garden District In The Garden District's landmark landscape , Kendall WOW "Before and After", we bring our promise of quality landscape design to life in the communities around Miami. This began with the intention of improving the overall aesthetic and functionality of the outdoor space for a distinguished client. During our first consultation with the homeowner, we saw several challenges for the site. Overall, the yard was sloped and unusable. There also was a dated, playless landscape design that voided the charm of the home. Our team planned a cohesive design to support tiered planting beds, a beautiful stone walkway, and a relaxing water feature for calm within the yard. The materials that we used were abundant native Florida plants, durable pavers, and Florida river stone without compromising the design for environmental care. A talented horticulturist from The Garden District selected sustainable and drought-resilient plants for South Florida. The installation process created challenges as well such as drainage problems and a tight schedule. However, The Garden District's dedicated team was able to utilize French drains and other approaches to perform installation according to our schedule. We ended up with a home that ventured more than extraordinary. The homeowner was ecstatic and the once-generally yard has turned into a vibrant oasis with plants, a peaceful water feature and supporting outdoor spaces for relaxation or entertaining friends and family. The Kendall WOW was able to enhance curb appeal to the property and consequentially added value to the domicile, and best of all created a sacred outdoor space.
