Chelsea Desjoyaux Pool by DSLD Land Management Company, Inc. A stunning application of the quality and design capabilities of DSLD Land Management Company, Inc. is the Chelsea Desjoyaux Pool in Chelsea, Alabama. Originally, this modest backyard was turned into a luxurious outdoor living space. The challenge was to blend a beautiful pool with a natural landscape. After careful planning, the pool shape incorporated the natural topography and we carefully selected high-quality materials, natural stone coping and eco-friendly pavers to enhance the beauty of the pool while providing elements to support the quality of work we do. The surrounding landscape was designed to showcase beautiful tree canopies, lush native plantings, and color and texture year round centered on increasing biodiversity. One challenge we faced was how to handle the drainage around the pool area. Creative grading was necessary to address the stormwater that collects, as we wanted to prevent water from pooling around the pool. Our amazing team of drain experts installed an exceptional drainage system that will protect the pool while also serving as a superior drainage solution for the landscape. At completion, our client had a beautiful inviting pool with lounge areas that are ideal for relaxing and entertaining. Custom retaining walls frame the space beautifully with lighting that really lights up the landscape beautifully in the evening. Our client loved their transformation, and the Chelsea Desjoyaux Pool is the centerpiece of summer family gatherings and fun now. The Chelsea Desjoyaux acknowledges the quality of work that DSLD Land Management Company, Inc. is known for, but it highlights our vision to create outdoor spaces that create joy and relaxation outside and we are proud to carry on this vision.
