About This Project

The Singh by Michaelangelo's Sustainable Landscape & Design The Singh , located in Roswell, Georgia, represents our commitment to sustainable landscaping and creative landscape design. The started with a thorough assessment of the site, which detailed the challenges presented by the existing topography, soil, and plant health, to create an outdoor oasis designed for outdoor entertainment and serenity, all in balance with the native landscape. After identifying the challenges of the existing landscape, we implemented a diverse palette of native plants throughout the site, creating low maintenance benefits to enrich the landscaping and increase biodiversity. Our design included a beautiful stone patio made of local flagstone to create an easy transition between the indoor and outdoor livings spaces. Within the layout of the patio, we also created a custom-built fire pit surrounded by handcrafted seating that served as an engagement space for evening gatherings, with LED lights added for ambiance and safety. We encountered obstacles that included poor drainage and an uneven landscape that were mitigated through the use of a sustainable rain garden with permeable walkways, creating infrastructure to deal with the site conditions and also enrich biodiversity within the landscape. We added a water feature that would continue the sound of movement so that it could be an escape from the urban noise level and add to inviting wildlife into the landscape. The final product was a landscape that the client fell in love with, and their expectations were exceeded nuanced landscapes, integrated structure and water features providing beauty and functional spaces. The Singh was an amazing example of what we are when not only working for a client but also creating distinct quality craftsmanship and sustainably. The happy client now has a beautiful outdoor oasis that is not only a benefit to their home value and to their lifestyle, but use it as a reference in our portfolio for Alpharetta and North Metro.
