Greensboro NC - Pool and Hillside Landscape Designed and built by Hawkins Landscape Architecture/TriadGarden, this ‘Greensboro NC - Pool and Hillside Landscape’ is an example of quality and innovation in outdoor design. Located in Greensboro, we designed a luxurious pool area with a beautiful hillside landscape to turn the client’s backyard into an outdoor oasis. One of the most unique aspects of the is the custom pool, with ipe wood decking, built with durable composite materials that blend seamlessly into the landscape. The experience of walking through the landscape is enhanced by carefully detailed natural stone work that creates an organic feel. The steep slope of the hillside was a challenge we had to overcome in the planning and design process. With careful planning and techniques in landscape engineering, we introduced terracing that stabilized the soil and provided multiple levels of decorative garden beds with edible plants and colorful perennials. These plants were locally sourced to ensure they are native to the region and have low maintenance needs for the homeowner. The end result is a spectacular landscape that highlights the property’s value and offers a soothing environment for family and friends to gather and relax. The transitional experience from the pool to the hillside garden integrates an engaging outdoor experience year-long. The sounds of water are soothing, complementing and adding to the overall ambiance of the outdoor experience. Our client is pleased to have a picturesque escape in their own backyard to provide opportunities to gather as a family as well as enjoy peaceful evenings in an inspiring landscape.
