Interior & Exterior Environmental Designs Capstan Situated on the enchanting coastline of Southern California, the Capstan showcases the ingenuity and expertise of Interior & Exterior Environmental Designs. Serving the lovely communities of Cardiff By The Sea, Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, and beyond, we transformed this outdoor living area into a luxury getaway that feels custom-made for its beautiful location. The Capstan features a cohesive blend of native and drought-tolerant plantings, allowing for a colorful and textured design that is sustainable. Beautifully selected materials, sourced from items like locally quarried stone pathways to custom wood pergolas, improved the overall aesthetic and allowed for seamless transitions between the various spaces of the garden. One of the difficulties we faced with this was the unlevel ground, which prompted us to adopt a creative grading solution for proper drainage and accessibility. The level of detail and skill in landscaping is showcased by the tiered planting beds we designed, which allow for visually stunning pieces of green life that bloom all year long. The final product was spectacular. A sweet water feature, complete with a waterfall, served as a focal part of this tranquil oasis, attracting all sorts of wildlife and our extremely happy clients. Additions such as seating areas with ambient lighting make awesome areas to hang out and enjoy the stars all year long. The Capstan is a marker for our quality and satisfaction as we created an ordinary space into an extraordinary landscape, where nature and luxury coexist.
