Narrow Outdoor Living Space by Omega Brick & Landscaping Located in the East Grand Rapids Community, Omega Brick & Landscaping completed the Narrow Outdoor Living Space to deliver a beautiful outdoor living environment to the clients unique outdoor living space. The challenge for this landscape is to take advantage of the narrow lot, while being harmonious with the established architecture. The starting point of this was a detailed consultation with the clients to explore their expectations for the desired outdoor living space. Due to limited space, our landscaping team needed think outside of the box for a functional outdoor living space. Ultimately, we created a unique multi-level patio by using quality pavers that serve a utility and aesthetic function. Continuing with our aesthetic focus, we introduced vertical elements such as a custom trellis with climbing vines to create privacy and natural elements. We then selected a thoughtful palette of native plant materials and ornamental grasses to create various layers of color and texture. Despite the limited scope and conditions of the space, we applied careful installation techniques to manage water drainage and provide stability, along with necessary safety requirements. The outcome is a fabulous outdoor living space where our clients can enjoy meals outside, have evening fires, and enjoy plants to increase curb appeal.
