About This Project

New York Views Hufnagel Landscape Design & Construction Group completed the "New York Views" , converting a small urban area into a stunning green space that showcases spectacular views of New York City. Located in Guttenberg, New Jersey, the came with interesting challenges, like limited site area and ensuring the design complemented the adjacent architecture. Our team carefully analyzed the site and ensured that every detail would complement breathtaking views. The design included a terraced garden that included native species like ornamental grasses and flowering, perennial plants that would thrive in local conditions. Stone paths made from locally sourced bluestone added durability and aesthetic appeal. Water features were a key component, including a sleek modern reflecting pool that mirrored the skyline, bit also added serenity and tranquility. In order to enhance outdoor living, we provided a custom-built wooden pergola allowing climbing vines to mature and create a sheltered cozy indoor/outdoor experience for family occasions. At the same time warm wood and sustainable materials gave the space impact and a natural element that created a contrast to the urban environment. Even with the challenges of one of the most populated areas in the country combined with site coordination, our team was able to complete this with precision and care. We successfully navigated code issues but were able to work quickly to ensure disruption to neighbors was minimal while adhering to a strict schedule. It is a stunning finish to an outdoor space that not only enhances the visual and physical aesthetic of the property but also provides the homeowner with a retreat to enjoy the NY skyline. The clients were overjoyed at their new yard that connected nature and urban life, showcasing the talents and dedication of Hufnagel Landscape Design & Construction Group.
