The began with a full site analysis, so we could respond to the specifics of the topography and existing elements of the landscape. We carefully designed terraced gardens and retaining walls using local stone to create continuity with the surrounding nature and navigate the various levels of elevation throughout the yard. The finished landscape is comprised of a beautiful selection of native plants, selected for their resilience in the climate and their interest through the seasons. These plants are highly engaged for ecological benefits, not only thriving in the climate, but also attracting pollinators to increase biodiversity. Another practical feature of the is a peaceful water feature (constructed with a natural stone basin and recirculating pump) that creates a soothing atmosphere. Outdoor living is paramount in the Moreland Hills 3 . We chose durable pavers for the patio to create a functional and easy transition from the home to the garden. The patio became a convenient area where family can all gather (or relax with a couple of loved ones) on a starry evening. A low-voltage landscape lighting system was included to enhance enjoying the evenings and highlight the architectural features of the yard (with an added benefit of providing safety). The result is a stunning landscape that was remarkably satisfying to our client.
