Large Stone Pool with Grotto | Cynthia Burns Landscape Design From a recently completed large stone pool with a grotto in the center of old Ponte Vedra Beach cynthia burns landscape design, LLC. This sprawling oasis was carefully designed to showcase the idyllic scenery that surrounds it, providing an ideal location for both relaxing and entertaining. The main feature of this was an oversized pool, built using beautiful locally sourced stone selected by hand. A grotto seamlessly incorporated into the pool includes waterfalls and greenery, imparting a hidden paradise effect. By adding warm natural boulders and colorful plant choices like tropical ferns and colorful shrubs, we were able to compliment the grotto. A large area of the site is undeveloped land, with a portion of the lot at an uneven grade, calling on our engineers to be creative with their solutions to ensure we can get proper drainage while still ensuring the structural integrity of the home. Our crew evacuated, graded, and used sophisticated techniques to properly prepare a stable base for the pool and grotto. The result is simply stunning. A spacious stone pool provides cool azure waters for lazy swimmings and sunscalded days, while the grotto offers a private little spot for meditation or group gatherings. Complementing the hardscape features, this pool area is framed by softscape elements including native grasses and flowering perennials that offer both aesthetic and biodiversity benefits. With Cynthia Burns Landscape Design, every detail from concept to completion was perfectly orchestrated, leading to an outdoor retreat that delighted our clients. Not only did this turn their backyard into a beautiful oasis, but it also added a lot of value to their home.
