Nick Martin Summer 2022 Nick Martin Landscape Architect Inc. is here to share the 'Nick Martin Summer 2022' , a spectacular residential landscape improvement in the heart of San Diego County. On this landscape redesign, the goal was to improve the outdoor space for living and entertainment, while uniquely combining natural beauty with modern function as we work with clients from Escondido to Hidden Meadows to Ranch Santa Fe, and all points in between. This includes beautifully appointed garden beds that have been planted with native plants and drought resistant plants, as well as seasonal flowering perennials that change throughout the year creating a color palette that dazzles. We used quality materials, from locally sourced stone pathways to naturally finished hardwood decking, to not only create pleasant visuals, but guaranteed durability with the varying elements. One of the main challenges on this was the sloped site we were on. As we provided grading solutions for the property, our team implemented a terraced design to create maximum useable space, as well working to eliminate drainage issues so that soil erosion would not become an issue for the plantings. We even included an innovative irrigation system that out performs in water conservation and maintaining green grass for our client, supporting our environmental responsibility for sustainable landscape practices. The end result is a landscape that invites relaxation and beauty, with multiple entertaining spaces that include a custom fire feature, as well as a water feature, seating areas, and other areas that will promote social gatherings. The client was thrilled with how well the outdoor spaces blended within the landscape, and noted the quality workmanship associated with the landscaping overhaul.
