Featured s by The Outdoor Living Company At The Outdoor Living Company, we take great pride in designing and carrying out outdoor space transformations into beautiful outdoor sanctuaries. A recent we call "Featured s" clearly demonstrates our commitment to quality craftsmanship in landscaping. Serving the public from Bel Alton to Northern Virginia, we embarked on a complete redesign of a large residential property, enhancing both aesthetic and functional appeal. The began with a detailed consultation meeting to establish a clear understanding of the client's vision. One of the challenges we faced was the property was sloped, limiting the ability to traverse the usable space in the yard. To overcome this obstacle, we designed a terraced garden using natural stone for the retaining walls that not only stabilized the benches but provided a developing timeless elegance to the landscape. Each terrace was planted with a selection of perennial plants that adds seasonal vibrancy and color. Additionally, we designed a custom square-shaped patio using permeable eco-friendly pavers for a space to entertain and/or have family gatherings provided a unique opportunity for use of reclaimed flooring. We understood material selection was crucial. The eco-friendly pavers we selected would be usable and sustainable with proper drainage. In addition, we installed a tranquil water feature that would not only provide a true focal point for guests but also soothing sound and consciousness to wildlife. Lighting was another component that was included in this and met the challenges of new clients. We clearly defined the basic components of the landscape features with hidden low-voltage LED fixtures. The client engaged with us for individual features of the landscape design and upgraded these to invite an evening landscape use. The final culminating design featured exquisite hardscaping and softscaping to the delight of our clients. The clients utilize the landscape for its elegant design as well as functionality without compromise. Overall, "Featured s" exemplifies the nature of an excellence and attention to detail in landscape design.
