Ridgetown by Star of Texas Landscape Star of Texas Landscape is excited to introduce the Ridgetown that skillfully combines the aesthetic and function of the outdoors. Star of Texas Landscape serves residents and businesses in Allen, Anna, Celina, Fairview, Frisco, Lowry Crossing, McKinney, Melissa, New Hope, Plano, Prosper, Weston, North Dallas, Park Cities, Preston Hollow and Little Elm, to a few new blossoming communities, with unique and inviting properties. To overcome this challenge, we transformed this large backyard into a retreat. The most attractive feature of the is the native plant garden that promotes aesthetics and biodiversity. Drought tolerant plants were chosen that are native to Texas and are beautiful options for sustainable and unique landscapes that also require low maintenance. The aesthetic also includes a winding stone path using locally sourced flagstone and creates an inviting setting by leading visitors throughout the native plant garden area. As an extension of the native landscape aesthetic, we also had a relatively large wood pergola custom designed for the that provided shade and another outdoor area to enjoy to entertain or relax. Reclaimed wood was used on the pergola and maintained the rustic charm we purposefully designed throughout the and reliable long-term use without compromising environmentally friendly work. Another challenge the site presented and continued to overcome with innovative design was the unbalanced land on the property. We leveled and graded to ensure there was a flow from one area of the scape to the next. We also implemented a water management system to avoid pooling from rain and erosion of plants, dirt and rock in the pathways and entryway. Ultimately, we were able to balance beauty with utility that leaving the homeowner excited the new outdoors to enjoy time with family or friends hosting or entertaining during a gorgeous day outside. Based on our discussions and visits with the homeowner, the initial excitement has transitioned into a joy to have a lovely new area of the property to host family and friends. We pride ourselves on our work at Star of Texas Landscape and paying close attention to detail without goods and prints and ultimately something like the Ridgetown is proof of thoughtfulness in landscaping.
