The design is a careful blend with the nature around it and adds to the visual beauty of the property. Incorporating drought-tolerant plants such as succulents and flowering perennials, we created a new lush but sustainable plant community. These decomposed granite pathways created an organic flow and consideration was made to ensure the paths also drained well to resolve a previous warm season’s water retention issue on site. And they had an incredible space to work with, most of this focused on creating this custom outdoor living space with a patio design and a reclaimed wood pergola. This area becomes a quiet respite, gathering with the family, or just a few stargazing evenings. Ambient lighting emphasises the surrounding landscaping for an evening glow and warmth. The team faced and overcame topography during this . Terracing and placement of select species in key areas allowed us to address aesthetic concerns and functional goals simultaneously, creating a harmonious landscape that compliments the architecture of the home. Our client was thrilled with the final result and now has a low-maintenance garden that adds colour while remaining true to their lifestyle and beliefs.
