Summary: Tarento Dr by Interior & Exterior Environmental Designs Located in the sunny coastal area of Cardiff By The Sea, the Tarento Dr landscaping exemplifies the quality and artistry we produce at Interior & Exterior Environmental Designs. This entailed a complete redesign of the outdoor space with a unique marriage of aesthetics and function to create a calm retreat. The included wonderful native drought resistant plants, chosen to acclimate to San Diego's climate, and included a mixture of succulents, ornamental grasses, and colorful flowering perennials. Choosing native plants also promoted biodiversity and ensured the use of minimal water. Natural stone paths were chosen as a design element and also to provide pedestrian routes through the landscape. The paths were all made from stones and path materials obtained locally, which enhances the continuity of the to its surrounding environment. The most significant challenge in the scope of this was the uneven landscape which necessitated a substantial amount of grading and soil stabilization. Our team used a number of approaches to establish drainage methods to prevent erosion of the landscape and designed the landscape with the expectation of seasonal rains. In addition, we established a custom irrigation system with smart technology to manage the water efficiently and align our work with California's sustainability goals. The end result was - a stunning outdoor space that fulfilled the client's desires and provided a new outdoor 'room' for entertaining and relaxing. The lush greenery and vibrant color gave the entirety of the space a sense of calmness and connection to nature. Interior & Exterior Environmental Designs successfully delivered a at Tarento Dr which is a stunning landscape designed to enhance the beauty of the home while being light on the environment setting a new standard for landscaping in the area.
