Reasons: Smith Landscaping | Glacier View Landscape & Design, Inc. Located in Dacono, the Smith showcases the talent and skill of everyone involved with Glacier View Landscape & Design, Inc. This sweeping landscape overhaul included numerous features that were both beautiful and functional. Native plantings for beauty, hardiness and low maintenance characterized the to ensure a sustainable performance within the Colorado climate. We used sturdy local stone for retaining walls and paths, which not only looked far better than concrete, but which also harmonized with the surroundings. A major challenge that was faced throughout the was the highly contoured land that the property exists on. Solution: Our team implemented a tiered garden design that tackled drainage problems while also being able to section off areas for relaxation/entertaining. It was the first time I saw water incorporated as a feature in a garden and through this process, they were able to include a beautiful water feature in the form of a small pond covered with fish and a flowing waterfall in the garden which became a pivot point in their garden and helped them to attract the local wildlife and visitors while creating a calming mediation atmosphere as well. Finally, we outfitted the landscape with LED lighting that provides energy-efficient pathways and feature highlights. That improved safety and also meant that the outdoor spaces could be useful in the evenings. The end product became a stunning outdoor space that the Smith family/community charmed, as an ideal environment for bring-togs and sentimental evenings. Glacier View Landscape & Design, Inc. did an outstanding quality of work with meticulous attention to detail and delivered a landscape that not only met but also exceeded the expectation of the client.
