Hopkins Backyard Retreat At Stonepocket Unique Landscapes we love to elevate outdoor spaces into fantastic retreats, and the Hopkins Backyard Retreat is a perfect example of our craft and attention to detail. Located right in the heart of Hopkins, the work we did here is a seamless blend of nature and design that was specifically designed to accommodate the wants of our clients. The kicked off with a full consultation to go over exactly what our clients envisioned they wanted for a backyard oasis. The site presented a myriad of challenges including bumpy landscape features and the need to preserve existing matured trees for the ultimate design. The team settled on a structural grading process that would allow it to drain well and preserve the surrounding landscape. The main feature of the retreat is a custom stone patio built from locally sourced bluestone that provides ample entertaining space for any occasion. Surrounding the patio are native plantings of ornaments grasses and perennials to enhance the site aesthetics, as well as induce local biodiversity. We also incorporated a fire pit area constructed from durable outdoor materials that create another gathering space for them to wind down. To complete the site, we included soft landscape lighting that showcases and highlights arrangements in the evening. The end result is a calm oasis that expresses functionality and beauty which can be enjoyed year round. We take pride in exceptional craftsmanship and customer satisfaction, and this has been no different.
