Backyard Patio & Firepit from Pleasant Landscapes Pleasant Landscapes is excited to present our most recent , the Backyard Patio & Firepit , designed for a thrilled homeowner in the lovely community of Mt Pleasant. This brings together functionality and aesthetics for a refined outdoor space to entertain guests or relax outdoors. Our design team started with an in-depth meeting with the client to understand their vision and the needs of their lifestyle. The included a large interlocking brick patio that used warm tones that melded with the environment. We used high-quality pavers that will last through the coastal season and hold timeless characteristics. The showpiece of this included the custom-built firepit that serves as a cozy gathering place for cool evenings in Charleston. Our team utilized natural stone, sourced from the area, which provided a rustic yet modern look to complement the patio. This was the perfect addition to encourage outdoor gathering and enhance the overall feel of the backyard. While working on the , we encountered various hurdles such as uneven ground and drainage issues. Our capable team successfully addressed the challenges with our unique grading system that promotes proper drainage and addresses erosion while managing to keep the design intact. To maximize the outdoor experience, we also included lush landscaping to frame the patio. Our team selected native plantings and ornamental grasses to provide privacy, color, and texture. We added low-voltage lighting to illuminate the patio around the firepit so the space can be enjoyed into the evening. The result is a beautified backyard area that combines elegance and functionality. Our clients were ecstatic their entertaining oasis, which adds value and enjoyment of the good life.
