The design consists of an alluring path of locally-sourced flagstone that provides a seamless entry into the lush gardens. With natural materials, these structures are not only functional, but also create a long-lasting outdoor structure able to withstand the coastal elements. In addition, a soothing water feature with rear-wall fabric of a cascading fountain produces a gentle sound from the water as well as attracts local wildlife. Kathy Henry Exterior Design also wanted to create flexible outdoor living areas. The beauty of the percussive quality of wood is utilized in the outdoor structure; the simple design of a wooden pergola provides both shade and a more intimate setting for entertaining or reflection.
