Gaud Residence - Ponte Vedra Beach At Serenoa Landscape Design, we take pride in transforming outdoor spaces into extraordinary retreats, and our recent at the Gaud Residence in Ponte Vedra Beach shows our commitment to quality and creativity. The landscaping of the Gaud was comprehensive, allowing the site to fit well with the coastal setting while providing function and beauty to the outdoor living area. The first step was a consultation to understand the client's vision and wishes. There was a challenge of designing on a sloped site, and we had to find the best way to safely direct drainage and provide stability to the site. We used retaining walls made of natural, regional stone that connected to the durability of the design to the coastal character of Ponte Vedra Beach. Features of the Gaud Residence landscape include a custom-designed paver patio that serves as a gathering space for family and friends. Low-maintenance perennial gardens filled with native Adriatic plants for the climate enclose the patio, attracting local wildlife. Throughout the , we selected quality, sustainable products with recycled and organic materials, including permeable pavers and organic mulch. There is a water feature, which adds drama, sound, and appeal to the overall experience. At night, the landscape comes alive with LED lights to illuminate the stunning selections of plants and architecture. In summary, the transformation of this space created an outdoor retreat to enjoy with friends and family that far surpassed the client's wishes. The Gaud residence now is sophisticated yet relaxed and ready for entertaining or quiet nights under the stars. This shows our commitment to built-quality and our enthusiasm for creating beautiful landscapes that express the unique character of Northeast Florida's natural environment.
