Gardens at Verde Vista Tucked within the Texas Hill Country sits 'Gardens at Verde Vista' - a premier landscape design & build provided by Best of Texas Landscapes. Within a growing community of Austin, Brushy Creek, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Jollyville, Jonestown, Lago Vista, Leander, Liberty Hill, Round Rock and Volente, this stands for quality and innovation. Gardens at Verde Vista provides a mixture of Texas native plants and ornamental plants specifically selected for the climate and other regional variables. We chose to use some drought-tolerant species like Bluebonnets, Lantana and native Grasses to promote sustainability of an improved aesthetic that would also harmonize with the surrounding area. A unique feature of the is the custom limestone pathways built with natural on-site stone sourced in the local area. The pathways provide definition but also an opportunity for viewers to experience the garden as a unique space, rustic but finished, cohesive but unpaved. The stonework is paired with natural boulders and a beautiful water feature that not also adds to the aesthetic but attracts local wildlife for all to enjoy. While we created an exquisite landscape, we faced challenges with sloppy terrain and drainage. Creating a grading plan, we choose to manage water run-off by adding rain gardens that would be a feature and encourage healthy plants, while also mitigating erosion. The result, a peaceful escape of function and beauty, added sitting areas and lush flower beds to complement the seasons. Our clients could not have been more pleased with how the landscape had transformed; it now is a quiet escape for family gatherings and relaxation. Gardens was a for Best of Texas Landscapes to create beauty and provide development within a space that provided an added sense of connection between the homeowner and its environment, signifying a commitment to create lasting and inspiring spaces.
