Ann Arbor Modern Serenity Great Oaks Landscape Associates Inc. is excited to share with you a transformative landscaping , 'Ann Arbor Modern Serenity' that re-imagines modern outdoor living spaces. Located in beautiful Ann Arbor, this is a manifestation of our quality and innovation, and will serve Ann Arbor and its surrounding communities including Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills and Novi. This highlights a contemporary design and natural elements to create a tranquil retreat for the homeowners. One notable item is the gorgeous geometric shaped patio made of one of the finest bluestone pavers designed to provide a smooth surface for entertaining. We also designed a custom fire pit space surrounding the patio, to enjoy cool evenings by a crackling fire and under the stars. The design also entailed native plantings that will flourish in our local climate and require minimal maintenance for landscape upkeep. The selected plantings include ornamental grasses, colorful perennials, and evergreen planting combinations. The strategically placed native plantings will create seasonal contrast to visual interest in the landscape. There is also a custom water feature included in the design provided to replicate the sounds of nature, adding to the beautiful site of this tranquil atmosphere. The provided challenges such as, uneven grades and preexisting drainage issues. In recognition of these challenges, our team was able to develop an innovative grading design that improved water flow and retained a long-lasting, sustainable landscape design. The end results yielded a stunning outdoor oasis in a natural environment that blends the contemporary and modern aesthetic of the built environment for pure astonishment to the client and Great Oaks Landscape Associates.
