Summary - Cass Lake Estate: R. Youngblood & Co. Located in the beautiful Cass Lake, the Cass Lake Estate is an example of art and craftsmanship by R. Youngblood & Co. Known to serve the illustrious neighborhoods of Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms and beyond, our team was able to transform this expansive estate into a tranquil chance to embrace nature. This focused on an extensive design with a matrix of native plantings, ornamental trees, and greenery that boosts the visual environment of the estate and creates a habitat for the local biodiversity. Our quality craftsmanship was evident in our use of materials, such as the natural stone we used throughout the walkways and patios, that we sourced from local quarries, which ensured durability and natural integration throughout the landscape. One of the challenges our presented was the extreme elevation change of the property. The excavation and grading, and innovative drainage options, were challenging features that facilitated functional and beautiful space. We designed tiered gardens and used retaining wall systems that created relief and dimension to the landscape while also controlling the steep slopes and water flow. To advance the client's outdoor experience, we installed a calming water feature in the landscape to capture the estate's natural beauty and create a peaceful space for relaxation and entertainment. We continued to develop outdoor features by employing custom made outdoor lighting, which created ambiance and showcased the landscape for the client to enjoy into the evening. Overall, the estate is an absolutely astonishing landscape that balances beauty and practicality, providing a landscape that fulfills the desires of bringing family and friends together outdoors.
