About This Project

Belmont Outdoor Living This , created by Kristen Rudger Landscape Design, turned a neglected backyard into beautiful outdoor living space with a focus on beauty and function. Located in the vibrant Belmont Community, this is a testament to our attention to quality and construction on the San Mateo Peninsula. The featured an design with a stunning multi-level patio made from gorgeous natural stone; a great space for entertaining family and friends or relaxing. The outdoor kitchen was custom design with high-end appliances and granite counter, so the clients could be assured their family and friends could gather in style or entertain with summer barbeques. A noteworthy challenge for this was the site slope, which required creative solutions to address site drainage and integrity, and our team thought carefully the grade for the design; a multi-leveled garden that addresses level for the site with added interest and depth for the garden. We specified aesthetically pleasing native plants; California poppies & lavender, to create a sustainable landscape for the site climate, and provide for pollinators. Throughout the , we installed energy-efficient LED lighting for the pathways and curated features. Now the client can enjoy their outdoor space at night. The addition of sound and movement within the outdoor space was achieved with the installation of a water feature, which brought calm to the experience. Our collaboration with the clients provided seamless integration of and created a harmonious balance of style and function. The completed is a beautiful outdoor living area that fits the parcel and enhances the property’s unique beauty while creating a lifestyle for the owner. The Belmont Outdoor Living is a true reflection of the quality and creativity as demonstrated by the Kristen Rudger Landscape design process.
