Cedar Creek Lake by The Garden Design Studio This large landscaping renovation located on Cedar Creek Lake was beautifully transformed by The Garden Design Studio and clearly makes a statement our commitment to quality and artistry. Serving the greater Austin area, including Barton Creek, Lost Creek, and far beyond, we took on the task of transforming a large and underwhelming lakefront property into a spectacular marriage of natural beauty and well-designed outdoor living spaces. Our process began with a comprehensive analysis of the site, in which we closely examined the distinctive topography and ecological components of the property. Native plants were carefully integrated to provide ecological stability to the overall landscape and to enhance visual interest. We utilized quality materials, including locally sourced limestone, for the retaining walls, providing structural strength that would also interface nicely with the natural setting. Access to the lake presented a significant site challenge, as a steep grade made it difficult to navigate. A multi-tiered garden was designed to provide a solution that would address the slope toward the lake as well as create open areas to relax and recreate. Pathways meandered through impressive flower beds, leading guests to lounge areas with seating and to a custom fireplace, offering outdoor gathering places to enjoy the stars. As a final touch, a stunning water feature was installed to echo the sounds of Cedar Creek, enhancing the auditory experience of the site while also attracting local wildlife and adding to the ecological wildlife. The end result is a beautiful landscape that exceeds the clients' expectations, providing the right amount of peace and function that the client's lakefront property needed. We were able to showcase amazing views that highlighted the landscape, and we provided a well-designed space for restoration for friends and family to enjoy.
