Patio Cover & BBQ Unit by Green Guru Landscaping Green Guru Landscaping recently undertook a to enhance a backyard space in Summerlin South into an outdoor environment for enjoyment with our 'Patio Cover & BBQ Unit' . Our objective was to create an outdoor living space that conveys both form and function. At the heart of the was a custom built patio cover made of high-grade weathered materials designed to fit with the home’s existing architecture. Our team used treated cedar wood for the patio cover, which offered a rustic appearance while being stable against the elements, typical to the Las Vegas area. The patio cover featured lattice work to provide light filtration and an overall nice aesthetic. Alongside the patio cover was a modern BBQ unit that offered some interesting features and worked well with the cover. Our team designed a BBQ unit with a stainless steel grilling unit, countertops, and storage. The BBQ unit blended form with function and offered our client a way to entertain guests or enjoy barbeques with family, without sacrificing style. To complete the BBQ unit, we clad the unit’s surface in a natural stone veneer material to add a touch of earthy texture to the surrounding landscape. During the , we faced a few challenges such as an uneven surface and concern for proper drainage. Our team was able to overcome these issues through a well-designed leveling system, as well as installation of drainage channels to manage rainwater runoff and prolong the life of the patio cover and BBQ unit. All of our efforts yielded a beautiful outdoor living area that fulfilled the needs of our clients. The patio cover and BBQ unit created an inviting space for gatherings, relaxing and enjoying the opportunities for wonderful weather in sunny Nevada.
