Sky Horse by Green Guru Landscaping Green Guru Landscaping is excited to present the 'Sky Horse' , an incredible transformation located in the heart of Las Vegas. Serving the communities of Enterprise, Henderson, Paradise, Sloan and beyond, our incredible team of skilled professionals had the task of designing and building a backyard that combines modern ideas with elements of nature. At the center of the was an enormous 2,500 square foot backyard that presented many challenges, including an uneven surface and limited sun exposure. The designer overcame these issues by implementing a tiered landscape design while choosing locally sourced and drought-tolerant species that fit the general environment of Nevada. A remarkable custom-built pergola made of sustainably harvested cedar makes a fantastic statement and provides shaded utilities within the garden. In addition, we included a winding flagstone pathway that leads to a tranquil water feature that serves as an oasis. The peaceful sounds of the water trickling enhance the native colors from the flora while still providing a vibrant dwelling for the local wildlife and lending to the client's desire for low maintenance. We focused on the materials that we included, which were sourced locally and were eco-friendly. A notable example is the use of permeable pavers that assist with drainage, while simultaneously reducing runoff. Outdoors lighting was a beautiful enhancement to the by using strategically placed fixtures to illuminate the garden at night, allowing it to become a magical escape. The results? A beautiful landscape that accomplishes the client's vision while blending seamlessly with the desert surroundings. Our dedication to quality craftsmanship and creative ideas has left the client ecstatic for the opportunity to transform their backyard into a beautiful space.
