Great Oaks Landscape - Who We Are Great Oaks Landscape Associates Inc. is dedicated to elevating exterior spaces into beautiful retreats that capture the essence of each client. Our latest work, "Great Oaks Landscape - Who We Are" highlights our dedication to quality and craft throughout the scenic suburbs of Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills and beyond. This landscape encompassed the complete re-imagining of a residential yard to include a thoughtfully composed palette of native plants, refined hardscapes, as well as sustainable features. The overall design presented lively sequences and compositions of native perennials, native ornamental grasses, and flowering shrubs that resulted in an abundant, vibrant display of color and texture that one could enjoy throughout the year. One of our main goals for the design was to improve the drainage of the yard where the home experienced pooling of water in the backyard. The team engineered a French drain system that was safely hidden under decorative gravel stone - which turned out great. There was a significant improvement in the yard’s drainage, as well as a new look. We installed hardscapes with high quality material such as locally sourced flagstone for the patio and pathways, which offered a tiered landform quality that fits naturally into the existing scenery. Our team placed each stone methodically to provide for a more durable and more attractive hardscape as part of the whole yard. Our final vision was a one-of-a-kind outdoor getaway complete with a custom fire pit, areas for gathering, and organic veggie garden that added excitement for a young and enthusiastic homeowner. In addition to increasing the height of their house value, this design substantially freed the capacity of the home's interior, allowing for more quality family time under either the sun, stars or both!
