Xeric Ridgecrest by Waterwise Landscapes Incorporated Xeric Ridgecrest, nestled in the picturesque Sandia Mountains, is a by Waterwise Landscapes Incorporated. Our business serves the communities of Albuquerque, Isleta, Kirtland AFB, North Valley, Paradise Hills, Rio Rancho, Sandia Heights, South Valley, and Los Ranchos de Albuquerque and began work on this with the intent of designing a sustainable yet beautiful xeriscape that matched the characteristics of our New Mexico climate. Our featureed a plant palette comprised of sustainable plants, native plants, and drought tolerant plants, including: Apache Plume, Desert Marigold, and Red Yucca, which attracted pollinators for instance. For walkway aesthetics, we were able to use natural stone and decorative gravel that blended well with the landscape, and served a functional purpose. In addressing the soil loss on the property, we were able to install terraced garden beds that used local material to finish the look, and provided durability. Another hurdle we faced was designing an effective irrigation system for plant health that would reduce water use. A drip irrigation system function was provided for all of the plants to use minimal water, waste, and future homeowner maintenance. Xeric Ridgecrest has a pleasing quality that embodies the Southwestern spirit and the homeowners were thrilled. Xeric Ridgecrest goes above and beyond adding value to their property, but provides a retreat for enjoyment. Xeric Ridgecrest is a beautiful with low maintenance features while maintaining a sustainable design point, that invigorates one to trust Waterwise Landscapes incorporated, with a commitment to quality service for our clients.
