About This Project

the Meaney - A Cumberland Valley Tree Service - Landscaping Transformation In the heart of Chambersburg, the “Meaney” showcases the talent and expertise of Cumberland Valley Tree Service - Landscaping. Our task was to change a small backyard into a lush eating area. With this came the site challenges of the backyard - uneven terrain and limited sunlight. We began the with a detailed site analysis and continued to balance these site-specific challenges with the landscape design going forward. The selected plants are native to the south-central Pennsylvania area and selected for their resilience and low maintenance environment. The layered flower beds were constructed with organic, rich soil and inatted with decorative stones to provide drainage and be visually appealing. A centerpiece of the landscape is a functioning stone patio constructed with locally sourced flagstone for gathering with friends and family. To help ensure privacy, we installed a series of evergreen and deciduous trees along the property line. This is an added layer of both a natural screen and changeability in visual layers throughout the year. The existing irrigation system would be somewhat challenging to work with as we would be integrating it into our newly installed/ planted materials spec'd out; however, every element worked well together thanks to the experience of our talented team of professionals. The overall design and our ideas all came together to create a fantastic landscape, which was functional and visual. The clients were elated. Their backyard transitioned from an under-utilized space to a landscape vibrant with color, texture, and character. The displays our commitment to finishing quality work, as well as ensuring we continually meet and exceed client expectations in Chambersburg, Carlisle, Mechanicsburg, and Greencastle. The “Meaney” demonstrates our ability to provide landscapes that add functionality to living spaces while working in harmony with the surrounding environment and a quiet retreat for all those who call a space home.
