Josh Goes Downtown for New York City 1 Located in beautiful Plandome, Main Street Nursery recently completed this refreshingly new landscaping , creating a scenic refuge that beautifully blends nature with artistry into the feel of the home. Main Street Nursery: Serving Asharoken, Huntington, Bay Shore, and all of Long Island with landscape design skills and horticultural passion, Main Street Nursery translated an aesthetically pleasing landscape to meet the client's intentions and highlight the beauty already inherent in the property. It consisted of carefully chosen components such as colourful flower beds filled with native perennial plants, ornamental shrubs and trees that offer shade and structure. These include natural stone walkways and custom-made retaining walls in durable, quality materials that not only look great but will hold up beautifully for many seasons to come. Stones are chosen for how they fit in with the surrounding rocks that create a harmonious design, leaving those who pick them up with a warm sense of relaxation. I'd say the biggest challenge we faced with the was the slope of the site and so of course this meant we had to come up with some pretty creative design solutions for drainage and erosion control. This was a challenge Main Street Nursery rose to by creating a tiered system that achieved these goals while also adding significant depth and dimension to the landscape. In this design, a series of cascading flower beds have been incorporated in a manner that colorful blooming flowers can catch the attention of a person from any level and bridge the human eye through the whole framework. A patio space with outdoor furniture and a fire pit was also seamlessly incorporated to further enhance the outdoor experience, allowing the owners to comfortably entertain family and friends in the backyard. For sustainability without sacrificing the lush look desired by her client, the landscape makes extensive use of environmentally friendly landscaping practices, including a rain garden and xeriscaping components. We were able to deliver a Plandome that left our client overjoyed, providing them with an aesthetically pleasing extension to the house, plus an outdoor sanctuary perfectly matching to their accomplishments and personality. This exemplifies the quality materials and modern design featured by Main Street Nursery, as it balances both aesthetics and practicality effortlessly.
