Opening Theme: Nature in a Vase Bethesda Garden Design LLC Located in the heart of Bethesda, MD, Bethesda Garden Design LLC was able to beautifully combine both natural and artistic design elements to create a space that feels like an oasis and is entitled Nature in a Vase. Yes, we serve Bethesda, Chevy Chase, DC, North Chevy Chase, South Kensington &Washington, we created spaces that leave you in awe & Peace. Started with a vision to provide a lively garden, that not only works for relaxation, but also a space for gathering. Sustainability and local adaptability were on the minds of our design staff who carefully chose a palette of native plants. At the heart of the spacea locally-sourced stone raised flower bed in the shape of a vase. Drought-tolerant perennials, seasonal annuals, and herbs make this a multi-sensory garden that changes throughout the seasons. The site had a rugged terrain that did not make it easy for us. A newly built fence surrounded the site of the terracing and strategic drainage solutions, not only to improve aesthetics but also to preserve the structure of the garden as it was. We designed paths that beckon you to wander and wonder using permeable pavers that disappear into the landscape while encouraging low-impact storm water. The end result was more than our client could have imagined beforea beautiful house on top of a functional piece of landscape, a landscape that is almost sculptural, every plant, stone, or space in the garden having a function, even if indirect. Besides being an inviting residence for pollinators, the various hues and textures create a serene area to relax. The 'Nature in a Vase' shows the dedication to quality craftsmanship and innovative landscaping solutions by Bethesda Garden Design, and we could not be better pleased with the transformative results. This garden really is a homage to the beauty of nature whether it be sipping on a quiet morning coffee, or entertaining friends in the evening under the stars.
