This demonstrates an ideal combination of classic architecture and contemporary functionality that aligns with the client's brief for an escape from the outside world. With a collection of carefully selected aspects, the terrain is astoundingly the iconic rock paths which lead people through lively green gardens. The paths were made from local natural stone, which complements the coastal look in addition to being a durable option. The features a beautiful selection of drought-tolerant species, including native Californian plants, creating a sustainable and climate-resilient landscape to help address California's climate-related challenges. The building entire site was a change as we also needed to connect back to natural rocky outcrops and at various elevated ground. The talented team with creative grading methods which creates smooth transitions and creates methods for water drainage that will protect the land without destroying it. Boulders provided seating while placing in naturalistic manner added some visual interest. The result is a stunning outdoor area that combines a classic style with a fresh, modern vibe, creating a laid-back space perfect for everything from family meals to moments of solitude. The client was extremely happy with the final result complimenting the attention to detail and bringing their vision to life.
