Balcony in Condo | Avenue 39 Landscape Design We are Avenue 39 Landscape Design and this is the Condo Balcony, an urban outdoor retreat. From the diverse vibrancy of Anaheim to Westminster, the team dedicated a meticulous approach to feature this balcony space to accommodate the client's living experience and also add functionality to all aesthetics. The addition of lush, low-water use, drought-tolerant plants appropriate for coastal climates, with many native to the area. Instead, we worked vertical planters that we framed with bright flowering species, balancing visual interest with limited floor area. On top of that, we installed an extra handmade wooden terrace that comes from eco-friendly sourced materials and is perfect for both chilling and hosting. Limited sunlight was one of the challenges we faced, but we soon realised that having partial shade would mean we could be selective using species with foliage that colour the palette. We also had the special challenge of managing drainage and irrigation in the limited space, making our decision to implement a smart irrigation system that is both water-efficient and keeps the plants healthy. The end result is a balance between comfort and style, a cozy space for you with some excellent seating, ambient lighting, and appealing greenery that enhances the balcony experience. It was then that we knew this verdant hideaway had taken one of our client's otherwise underutilized area and turned it into a tranquil oasis they would never want to leave.
