==Description== Poko by Green Acres Nursery & Garden Center Located in the centre of Ambler, the landscaping , 'Poko' is a small part of the quality and artistic outlet, Green Acres Nursery & Garden Center. This transformation was quite ambitious and covered a large backyard that included a need for both form and function. The first step our team took was to survey the area and noticed that the terrain was uneven with poor drainage so a lot of the first half of the design would end up out of the question. We developed a plan to resolve this by grading the entire area to improve the drainage and functionality of the landscape. It is a beautiful combination of native plants and ornamental grasses selected for their hardiness, low maintenance and sustainability. We used local flagstone to create a lovely stone pathway that seamlessly transitions from the patio directly into the garden beds. Along the pathway are colorful perennial flowers that flower at different times of the season to provide bursts of color throughout the growing season. Aside from the plants, a custom built wooden pergola has been erected to enhance the architectural intrigue of the space while also providing shade for a seating and socializing area. This building reminds you that we are sustainable to fit into nature, using reclaimed wood along with that. The end result is a stunning outdoor living space that's a true reflection of the client's vision of serenity and beauty in the natural landscape. By overcoming the challenges the terrain presents with our attention to detail we created a landscape that creates real value for the property and a pleasure for the homeowners.
