The Summit shows our focus on quality and attention to detail in all aspects of landscape design. To enhance the beauty of the existing site, we utilized a careful combination of native plants that are designed to provide interest at various times during the growing season. The design included plush perennials, bright flowering shrubs, and selectively positioned ornamental trees in all shapes and sizes. The result is an engaging combination of textures and color that compliments the architecture of the home. A gorgeous bluestone patio acts as the visual center of the design and provides a functional space for outdoor entertaining, while the natural stone retaining walls construct both form and function to the landscape design. On the properties sloped site, a major experience and challenge that we faced was addressing proper grading and drainage. To mitigate water runoff while adding some depth, and to generate dimension, our team came up with an idea to use a terraced garden design. Terracing provided proper runoff while also contributing to the overall beauty and function of the landscape standing. We selected premium and sustainable materials to create permanence and beauty for both the owner and the environment. We selected permeable pavers to create a surface that allows water to soak in, through and not only reduce waste but minimize environmental consequences. We used natural stone for the pathway and edge treatment to provide rustic tones that guide guests through the nature based scape. In transformation of clients vision to reality and function, we believe the overall product is no less than a beautiful outdoor oasis space that not only met, but exceeded expectations. The landscape of the Summit Showhouse has now become a relaxing and enjoyable area making us extremely proud of the work the Liquidscapes team produced.
