Creekside Residence

Title: Jug Creek by E.L.I. Land Design, LLC E.L.I. Land Design, LLC designed this , Creekside Residence, located in nature-friendly Conroe. This extensive landscaping redesign centred on merging the already beautiful landscape with the clients vision for a welcoming outdoor space. Before digging into the design, the kicked off with an extensive site analysis, looking at the unique nuances of the site itself, like the charming creek and differing levels (like our site here). One issue in our work was balancing the need for an active agricultural and recreational area with a drainage system that would handle run-off from rain, but allow the land formation to remain as natural as possible. Using a palette of colorful perennials and ornamental grasses that bloom in every season along with quality native plants for sustainability and minimal maintenance. The design boasts some unique specifications, the first one being the stone pathway weaving through amazing gardens to a fire pit area constructed on-site an ideal gathering or open-air dining area under the stars at the Creekside Residence. By utilizing native boulders and river rock, we aimed to create a sense of permanence and ties to the elements of nature. Strategic lighting components were also incorporated to provide nighttime illumination for pathways and other key night-focused features, providing an immersive experience at the evening house. We also created a beautiful water feature which helps to add to the serenity of the space and attracts birds and local wildlife. These elements give space to an oasis for the client to unwind and entertain, providing a seamless transition between inside and out. The result was an incredible "product," but more importantly, a "landscape" that not only met but exceeded the client's golden standard for artistry and craftsmanship.
