Summary: Inglewood Home | East Nashville, TN Completed by: Gardens of Babylon Landscapes Located in a lively and diverse community, the 'Inglewood Home' is a testament to the design talents and handiwork skills of Gardens of Babylon Landscapes. This large landscaping has turned the yard into a peaceful escape that balances design and function. The team began the work of addressing a challenging landscape with contours that were uneven with limited plants and wildlife for species diversity. We created tiers into the original design that enhanced accessibility while creating a unique visual interest. Natural stone retaining walls were created with local materials in a manner that added durability and texture to tie into the surrounding landscape. It was important for the outdoor living area to be elevated with an exceptional palette of native herbaceous plants, flowering shrubs, and designer grasses purposefully selected to attract local wildlife and provide color year-round. Gardens of Babylon Landscapes also built a custom fire pit with surrounding natural seating made from reclaimed wood to invite family gatherings or relaxing evenings underneath the stars. The team faced the challenge of areas that had limited sunlight at some points of the day. To provide warmth and ambience to these areas as well we worked with the clients to incorporate shade tolerant perennials and utilized landscape lighting to add to the ambiance during the evening twilight. The end product is a stunning landscape that encompasses the charm of East Nashville homes while providing the homeowners with a space to function in and enhance their peaceful lifestyle. We received glowing reviews from the clients on the designed-out landscape and quality of workmanship, demonstrating Gardens of Babylon Landscapes' commitment to design quality. This enhances the beauty of the Inglewood community; as well as, showcasing Gardens of Babylon Landscapes commitment to sustainable and innovative landscaping practices throughout Nashville and surrounding communities.
