Green Hills Landscape Design | Nashville, TN Designer: Gardens of Babylon Landscapes Located in Green Hills, one of Nashville's dynamic neighborhoods, the 'Green Hills Landscape Design' showcases the talent and skill of Gardens of Babylon Landscapes across the greater Nashville area, including Antioch, Brentwood, and Hendersonville. This landscaping was designed to provide an outdoor space that would be inviting while seamlessly combining with the nearby lush background and overall beauty of the property. Through discussion with the client, we agreed the needed to be designed with a balance of form and function. The landscape design included an impressive variety of native plants, which were specifically selected for their durability as well as their ability to prosper in our TN climate. Local residente natural (square cut) limestone was selected for the pathways due to its upscale natural qualities as well as its high-level durability. The cluster of permeable pavers we used allows for efficient drainage to help alleviate any environmental concerns while providing an element of sustainability. One of the challenges of this site was the steepening topography. We began to create tiered planting, which added another dimension to the while allowing for diversity among plant heights. Our craftsmen began meticulously building a beautiful natural stone retaining wall that had a structural aspect in addition to being an impressive feature in the landscape. The finished product was a stunning outdoor experience, complete with a peaceful water feature, native madrigal (flowering) plants, and welcoming seating areas for socializing and lounging in comfort outdoors. The clients were so pleased when we finished; there was thrill at how their vision turned into a low-maintenance garden.
