Sleepy Hollow Mediterranean Villa by Gary Torney Landscaping Co. Located in the tranquil Sleepy Hollow community, Gary Torney Landscaping Co. completed the 'Sleepy Hollow Mediterranean Villa' , which thoughtfully transformed one of the community's more classical homes into a beautiful outdoor living space in an aesthetically pleasing setting. Depicting the feel of Mediterranean design, the new landscape features vibrant bougainvillea as well as fragrant rosemary, and the olive trees that frame the property create an inviting atmosphere. The terrace which is made of locally sourced hand-cut travertine often becomes the centerpiece of the design. The warm natural tones of travertine complement the existing architecture of the villa. The generous outdoor space also incorporates beautiful wrought iron railing options and custom-built pergalas to create shade as well as style to enhance outdoor living. The team also added a tranquil water feature in the design; a fountain intended to be both the focal point of the landscape but also a sound element that could immerse client in the Mediterranean retreat. Unpaved terrain posed one of the significant challenges to the , as well as having several issues with drainage. Our skilled team defined the objectives of a grading and draining program to create an esthetically pleasing yard and also ensure the longevity of the landscape while avoiding undesired accumulation of water. The team also included irrigation systems in the design, while ultimately respecting good water utilization practices to avoid overwatering and underwhelming of the garden and landscape. The client was happy with the results and now has a landscape of utility as well as beauty.
