Kent Woodlands Contemporary Estate Gary Torney Landscaping Co. is excited to showcase the Kent Woodlands Contemporary Estate, an extraordinary that unites contemporary architecture with the stunning backdrop of Marin County. Surrounded by the vibrant Kentfield backdrop, our team was hired to create a landscape design that preserved the beautiful architecture of the estate while bringing the outdoor living component to life. This is a beautiful mixture of local native plants, which were chosen for their durability and low maintenance, while improving sustainability and local wildlife. We utilized high-quality materials such as natural stone pathways, clean wood decking, and custom-blended soil for the plant beds, which added value to the aesthetic and provided health to the landscape. One of the challenges we faced was dealing with the existing topography of the estate. Our design team worked around the topography by creating tiered gardens that fit seamlessly with the natural slopes, which created intrigue and a flow across the entire site. Additionally, we installed a unique irrigation system that efficiently uses water resourcefully to provide adequate hydration to each plant selection. The end results include an incredible outdoor space that has an inviting meditation garden, a colorful herb garden, and a beautiful outdoor entertainment space that has a fire pit along with a lounge space. Our client was ecstatic at the completion of the and noted how the new landscape created not only additional value for their home, but it served as a peaceful outdoor escape for family and friends.
