Stone Craft by Terra Design Located in Central Seattle, Terra Design presents 'Stone Craft,' a thoughtfully crafted landscaping that transforms an under-utilized outdoor space into a beautiful retreat. We're proud to have served the active communities of Ballard, Beacon Hill, and Mercer Island with this , demonstrating why our clients love working with Terrathe quality of our craftsmanship and the originality of our design. The best part of 'Stone Craft' is the thoughtful composition of natural stone elements within the landscape. We used locally-sourced basalt and granite to create a beautiful patio area that serves as a large, communal gathering space for family and friends to connect. The appealing combination of permeable pavers in blue, gray, and natural earth tones adds visual interest and allows for eco-friendly drainage solutions to become an aspect of the overall design. As we began working on the design, our client noted that their yard was not evenly graded. While this often creates challenges for landscaping, in this case, it evoked creativity and problem-solving. We leveled the yard and created terraces, while custom stone steps seemed to emerge seamlessly out of the design. Besides being visually pleasing, leveling the yard created functional transitions and improved accessibility. In addition to the hardscape, we invigorated the landscape with a wide variety of Pacific Northwest native plants. Not only do they look great, but they also provide support to wildlife in the community. The ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, and evergreen trees are located strategically to provide year-round interest while displaying great colors throughout the seasons. The final product, 'Stone Craft,' is a beautiful outdoor space that the client appreciates year-round. Whether enjoying family gatherings for the holidays, or enjoying and reflecting leisurely on the patio, the was designed and transformed into an expansion of the home. The design and attention to detail, thoughtful approach to product selection, and of course, the client's desire for upgrades, left a lasting impression on the client for the better.
