Upscale Entry by Engledow Estates Engledow Estates is proud to share our the 'Upscale Entry,' a unique landscaping that transformed the entrance of a luxury home in the heart of Meridian Hills. The successfully merged traditional elegance with modern design, establishing a welcoming feel that sets the tone for the rest of the property. The focal point of the design is a striking stone walkway, composed of local Indiana stone, that guests will walk through envisioning themselves as they are ushered into a lovingly designed garden. Beside the pathway are colorful perennial beds composed of flowering plants, such as hydrangeas and peonies, that provide a continuous palette of colors for every season throughout the year. The plantings also help to bring the local pollinators in to share our ecosystem. One of the challenges of the involved the variability of the topography across the site. Our team turned those challenges into tiered planting beards that served as an answer for the elevation changes as well as offers more depth and dimension to the landscape. The addition of decorative boulders and natural mulch added to the aesthetic to create a tailored look that ties into the structure found in the home's architecture. To further enhance the entry experience, we lit the path with strategically placed outdoor lights that invite visitors to sample the experience even after dark as they enjoy the warm glow cast by lights. Finally, a custom wrought-iron gate was installed that offers an element of sophistication and security, representing a true mark of upscale living. In the end, we delivered a beautiful entryway that made the client smile and increased their curb appeal to create an inviting feature true to the homeowner's style and values.
