About This Project

Missionary Ridge Historic Estate Properties Dream Gardens Landscape Design & Installation is thrilled to showcase the restoration of The Missionary Ridge Historic Estate, the core of old Chattanooga. The result was a seamless balance between art and functional architecture reflecting the rich history of the estate whilst enhancing its natural beauty. This allowed our team the rare opportunity to rejuvenate the landscape whilst maintaining its historical legacy. To this end, we chose native plants and long-lasting materials such as local stone and reclaimed wood, for a sustainable and graceful outdoor environment. It had a huge garden with custom flowerbeds, a beautiful water feature, and a gravelly pathway running throughout the landscape. We designed custom gathering area- a hand-cut benches with room for settling down to just enjoy nature around you. Through low mowing landscaping practices, the estate looked immaculate while surviving with little care. The end result was a stunning estate with the perfect balance of contemporary and history exactly what our clients wanted! And they now have a space that delights an outdoor retreat that embodies the soul of Missionary Ridge. This beautiful landscape design is just one of the reasons why we at Dream Gardens always deliver quality and craftsmanship, throughout Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain, Ridgeside and Signal Mountain!
