Mixed Styles By Dream Gardens Landscape Design & Installation The 'Mixed Styles' by Dream Gardens Landscape Design & Installation found its home in the beautiful landscape that is Signal Mountain. Whether you are in Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain, Ridgeside, or further afar, our team took a backyard full of never ending slopes and built a space that invited family and friends to gather together outdoors. This included a unique blend of modern and rustic landscaping elements intended to enhance the architecture of the home and complement its natural surroundings. We chose flowering perennials and ornamental grasses that are native and drought resistant, focusing on sustainability and low maintenance. Flagstone pathways sourced locally meander through the space so no feature is merely functional without being beautiful. As the property had a very steep incline, terracing posed one of our biggest challenges. We designed a set of site-specific, hand-stacked boulders that function as retaining walls and create terraced gardens that add a tiered depth to the landscape whilst providing additional water drainage. Thus, after careful planning, erosion and runoff would be minimal, making for a garden that could thrive. It wrapped up with the construction of a beautiful water featurea pond lined with ferns and rocks that acts as a centerpiece and a magnet for local wildlife. The ended result is an impressive, meditative space that is relaxing and enjoyable, which is why our clients are so pleased!
