Inspiration: Hardscapes by Kinghorn GardensType: Landscape Architectural and Planning Feasibility In the Omaha metro area Bellevue, Bennington, Boys Town and points south & west, Kinghorn Gardens is excited to unveil the 'Hardscapes' , a beautiful culmination of new outdoor space. This reflects a respect for craftsmanship and design. The art of 'Hardscapes' was designing outdoor living areas that are appropriate for function while integrating aesthetically into its surrounding. We build strong yet good looking paths, patios, and retaining walls out of natural stone, pavers and decorative concrete to beautify the landscape while withstanding Mother Nature as it takes its toll. The most significant problem we had to deal with was that the property was not level. Our team with expertise crafted a multi-layered terrace system, draining the water away while creating ultimate usable space. Careful grading and large boulders, not just visual interest but functional as well to be a natural barrier. To balance the hardscape, we included some beautiful greenery by selecting plants well-suited to the local climate. The softscapes comprised a mix of native shrubs and decorative grasses for a balance of hard and softscaping. The end result was an outdoor oasis that exceeded our clients expectations, with a space large enough to entertain guests, but also secluded enough to enjoy many quiet evenings gazing up at the stars. The improved its curb appeal and added a considerable market value to the property. We pride ourselves at Kinghorn Gardens on our attention to detail and finding ways to overcome obstacles to achieve great results.
