Morning Light Ct Finalized by Ventures Design Situated in the heart of Bloomfield Hills, the 'Morning Light Ct' represents the creativity and craftsmanship Ventures Design symbolizes. This large-scale landscape updated an expansive residential property through smart function and natural elements culminating in a calming environment. At the beginning of the , our team was tasked with negotiating an inherently uneven topography with little pre-existing defined elements. Through careful planning and innovative solutions, tiered gardens were developed for accessibility and added visual interest. The locally sourced stone created retaining walls and pathways, and provided natural durability while complimenting the environment and the rich rock formation that characterize the natural landscape of the area. The focal point of the landscape is a five-spring basin water feature, designed with gentle reciprocal waterscapes emulating the natural flow of a stream. The basin was complimented with aquatic plants and down lighting to create a visual reset for calm and serenity. Native plants were used around the water basin to achieve four-season points of interest and to encourage wildlife. An outdoor gathering space was included with the new landscape constructions, featuring a custom crafted wood pergola with the option of using large sail shades or other textiles on hot sunny summer days. The pergola is made with sustainably sourced wood that adds tone while creating shade and integration with color across the landscape. High quality, outdoor furnishings complimentary for comfort and durability were selected to accommodate both social and individual use to sit back with a light read or a cup of coffee. The reveal left our clients smiling and feeling fulfilled that their dreams of a vibrant, functional outdoor space came true. The thoughtfulness and craftsmanship in the not only improved the aesthetics of the various sections of the property, but also added long-lasting value to the property itself.
