About This Project

Old Florida Refined, Bell Landscape Architecture, Inc. Titled "Old Florida Refined," the Bell Landscape Architecture Inc. unfolds within the lush, tropical backdrop of Florida and artfully combines the time-honored traditions of Florida design with modern day functional design elements. Our group turned a large estate in the verdant areas of Florida and also the Caribbean into a magnificent oasis recognizing the lavish roots of the state. A stunning landscape with plants meant to thrive in the local climatenative hibiscus, jasmine and palms. We selected each species for both beauty and contributions to the ecosystem, as part of this orderly process. Coquina stone beautifully lines all the paths, adding texture and warmth and creating a seamless connection to nature. The centerpiece of the is the water feature designed to emulate the aquatic spaces found in the tranquil marshlands of Florida. A serene sanctuary sheltered with ferns and ornamental grasses where wildlife finds solace is bordered with this peaceful pond. We also dealt with the issue of irregular ground by creating tiered gardens, which both added beauty and helped with drainage and soil health. Custom showsmanship, reclaimed wood pergolas and seating areas provide shaded comfort on outdoor living spaces, resembling rustic trees. All aspects were captured not just to meet our client aesthetic but also ensure it used eco-friendly materials and techniques. The end result is a symbiotic relationship between nature and art, which delighted our clients and has provided them with a tranquil space that feels both timeless and upscale to this day. The ultimate testament to this commitment lives on as "Old Florida Refined," one of the few remaining s that exemplify the quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a respect for the surrounding natural environment that Bell Landscape Architecture Inc.
