Vivacious Vernacular Vivacious Vernacular - A Landscape by Bell Landscape Architecture Inc. Bell Landscape Architecture Inc. In this , the vibrancy of one the most interesting yet least understood natural landscape ecologies in the world (Florida and the Caribbean) unites with the ideas and principles of contemporary urbanism in the built environments of the Republic of South Flores to create a landmark landscape that celebrates both nature and culture. This exciting took place in a neighbourhood known for its biodiversity and its own unique set of climatic challenges. Incorporating native plant species into the design results in sustainability without compromising beauty. We chose drought-resistant plants (like the colorful Bougainvillea and aromatic Plumeria) that survive naturally in the location and provide colorful access throughout the year. Locally quarried natural stone walks wind through the property linking indoor to the outdoors seamlessly creating a quality experience. One of the main challenges confronted during the was the area receiving heavy rainfall and the risk of flooding. To prevent this from happening, we added an innovative drainage system that removes the excess water from the land but integrates in the decoration of the landscape. We also paved with permeable pavers so we can catch the rain where it falls, further contributing to the ecosystem of sustainability. The result is an incredible outdoor space that speaks to the client aesthetic and provides a harmony to the location. Water features like a placid koi pond create a multi-sensory experience, while tailor-made seating motivates relaxation and gatherings with friends. Bell Landscape Architecture Inc. strives to provide work that meets or exceeds the landlord expectations. "Vivacious Vernacular" is a celebration of the art of ethos, aesthetics, and back to sustainable practice, ultimately delighting the client with their newly transformed outdoor space.
